Myrtle Beach

Dad had the crazy idea that he would like to spend his vacation this summer with 3 kids under the age of 4!! LOL!! So, Saturday we loaded up his truck and my car and headed out for Myrtle Beach. Jenn and I rode in my car with Knox and Dad chose to ride with Penn and Reese in his truck. Again, I'm starting to question his decisions as he gets older. He will tell you every 15 minutes he heard, "Papa, when are we going to be at the beach?" Knox was an angel in our car, but we did have to listen to the baby professor classical tunes the entire way!
Sunday was Papa's birthday and we spent most of the day rotating between the 2 kids pools, 2 big pools and lazy river. Reese was ready to try them all out!

Monday we did make it to the beach and that is Penn's favorite place to be. He would sit in the sand and dig all day long. Reese also didn't mind sand everywhere as she decided to make sand angels!

Knox even made it to the beach, he ended up sleeping on his Boo under the umbrella!

We really had so much fun, even though with 3 kiddos it was a lot of work. Thanks Papa, we can't wait to go back!!!

Penn loves to read and is really into reading all of his elmo books right now. He is also really into his little Pottery Barn Kids chair. This is how we found him the other night. so studious!

Sugarland

David and I had the opportunity to go see Sugarland here in Augusta and have a datenight. It was our first concert in awhile but we had so much fun. Brought back the memories of the days when we used to shell out big bucks to see anybody. Now we are much pickier you could say.

Alligator Farm - vacation day 5

We decided to take the kids to the Alligator Farm to take a break from the beach for a day. This was a first trip for all of us and I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or David.

Family Night Out - vacation day #4

On Tuesday night we had professional family beach pics taken and afterwards decided to stop in at this dive we passed along the way. Going in the front door was a little uneasy, but once we made it to the back patio we had hit the jackpot. A great deck on the water, watching the sunset and listening to a guy play a little Jimmy Buffett, that's what vacation is all about.

We had gorgeous weather today so I went outside and washed the cars while David and Penn played in the yard. Just love these kind of weekends.

Penn is in his 4th week of mommy and me swim lessons. He is really starting to get into it and kicking his little feet so good. His first lesson he was really unsure of the whole thing but he's warming up slowly. I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a little fishy by the summer time.
