Will turns 2...

On Saturday July 18th we celebrated Will's 2nd Birthday with a Cars birthday party. He was so cute and so excited all he would say was "CarCar". Here are a few pics from the party.

After the party we went to Atlanta to see the Braves play the Mets, which was followed by a free concert by the All American Rejects. This goofball added to our picture.

Smith's Olde Bar

I'm a little behind posting but we had a busy week. Tuesday afternoon we headed to Atlanta for David to play at Smith's Olde Bar. We were so excited for this show since all of our friends were getting to come. I started the night going to dinner with my besties Frenchy and my two roommates from New York, Jennifer and Lauren at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so nice to have some good girl time. Here are some pics from dinner.

After dinner we headed to Smith's to hear Eye of Abram. Below are some pics of our awesome friends and now fans of the band.

Swingin' Medaliions

A little late blogging but Saturday night we went to see the Swingin Medallions at the Evans Amphitheatre. I have to tell you that Anna, my sister in law made the evening much better. She loves the Swingin Medallions, I actually might come close to calling her a groupie. The night started slow but just as the sun went down, Anna pulled me down to the front of the stage with her. She can't resist the sounds of "Brickhouse". The rest of our weekend was relaxing around the house and enjoying staying home. Here are some pics from the concert.

4th of July

in Atlanta with family. We headed out Friday around lunch to spend the afternoon with my mom and Reese. We went out to eat mexican which is Reese's favorite and then we took her to the park to play. Saturday morning came early for me and David as we headed to Lenox and Piedmont Park for the Peachtree Road Race. I got started about 8:30 with group 7 and ran the whole race in 59 min! I wasn't too impressed with my time, but I think I got caught up in the spectacle of the race and lost my pace. Anyways, David was waiting on me just as I came through the finish line with a big congrats. We had so much fun that we celebrated with lunch at the Varsity. Nothing like 6 miles followed by a slaw dog and onion rings. After lunch we went to my dad's house for a long nap followed by the Gwinnett Braves game and fireworks Saturday night. The fireworks show was great, but let's just say we aren't there good luck charm, they lose every game we go to. Here are the pics from the race saturday. I'll have more to post tomorrow.

Just Announced

David's band just found out they are going to be playing in Atlanta at Smith's Olde Bar. They've never had the opportunity to play in Atlanta before so we are really excited. The more people that come the better the chance that they will be asked back. Hope you can all come.

Today had its ups and downs, but the best part was David bringing home fresh corn on the cob. I have to say I've never really cooked (or I guess boiled) fresh corn much less prepared it to freeze. Thanks to Mrs. Beth for detailed instructions and all the supplies. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner of meatloaf and corn on the cobb. After dinner Anna, Mark and Will stopped by for a minute. Will is so funny and loves his Uncle "D". He was not very happy about having to leave. David has one more day of work this week and then we are headed to Atlanta for a long weekend. I am attempting to run the Peachtree Road Race Saturday morning for the first time. I have been training and am in the best shape I've ever been so I figured now or never. I'm sure I'll have lots to post after the weekend. Hope you all have a Happy 4th of July!
