Brynn and Penn

Frenchy and Brynn came all the way to Augusta to spend the night with us and have a playdate!! We LOVE playtime with friends, especially mommy!! Brynn is the sweetest, cutest little girl! She is so calm and quiet, while Penn was wild! We've already decided they will be perfect to balance each other out!

Best Friends...

I know I've said this before, but I am truly blessed with the most amazing girlfriends in the world!!! I absolutely LOVE my time with them. This weekend we headed to Marietta to visit the newest addition to our crew. Jackson Connelly was born on January 25th and we are so excited he is here. We just have one more on the way, Baby Browning due in August, to complete the group. I just know these babies are going to have so much fun growing up together. Although we don't live as close as I would like for us too, we've done a good job of staying together and I hope Penn is just as close to his friends as I am to mine.

Growing

We had Penn's 9 month checkup today and he is weighing in at 21 lb and 1 oz (50th%) and he is 29 1/2 in (90th%). He got a great checkup and is right where he is supposed to be!! Such a proud mommy!

Birthday Party for Cooper

Penn had his first friends birthday party on Saturday. Cooper is another boot camp baby; he and Penn are 12 weeks apart. So crazy that these cuties are getting so big and turning "1". Penn played with all of his toys and took a minute to flirt with Lilly!

my poor baby is sick

Having a sick baby is no fun and completely breaks your heart. Penn didn't sleep much wed. night and had a fever thurs morning so I knew something was wrong. He has his first ear infection and has to take anitibiotics. I was so sad!! He was such a trooper and was so good. Dr. R said it looked like it may have been there for a week or so, but you would have never known it. I am very thankful that we made it 9 months till we had to experience this or any other sickness.

Puffs, again...

Most days Penn gets Puffs with his dinner or right afterwards, so yesterday I let him have them in the living room while he was playing. I had the bright idea to put his place mat down on the carpet with the puffs on it. I left the room for 2 sec to check on dinner and this is what I came back too. I guess the placemat looked like a perfect spot to sit. I wish I could have gotten a pic of the back of his pants with puffs stuck all over them. 

This boy is so funny!! He cracks me up everyday with something new!

Aunt Anna's Birthday

We celebrated David's sister's birthday in Wadley with good food and fun. Penn was completely entertained by his cousins Katelyn and Will. It's so nice spending time with family!

9 months old

You are growing so fast everyday!! I am amazed at how you have changed in 9 months.

Daddy and I can't imagine our life without you.

You LOVE:

bathtime, megabloks, tools, blowing raspberries, puffs, the remote control, my phone, banging toys together, rolling a ball and being tickled.

You would much rather try to walk right now then army crawl around.

This week you have started giving the sweetest, slobberiest kisses. I wish i could save each one of them for the days when you won't won't want to kiss me. 

You clap when you like something or when you do something new! So cute!

You make a vroom sound with your mouth when you play with your truck.

You love going to kindermusik and watching other kids. 

You have the cutest little smile that shows off your 4 shiny teeth.

You get so excited (with a squeal and kicks) when daddy gets home at night.

You love your bed and you now lean towards it at naptime and bedtime when you are ready to go to sleep.

getting around...

here's just another way Penn is learning to get around these days. He doesn't actually do it himself yet, but he loves for me to push him around the house.

So we decided before we ventured to Disney that it was time to put Penn in his toddler car seat. Yes, this made me sad, but was the best decision for the long drive ahead. He loves his new car seat now and takes some awesome naps in it. Poor thing was so snug with his legs hanging out in his infant car seat. Now he can see so much better and stretch and move around.

Snowed in...

This rarely happens around here so when it does everyone takes full advantage of snowball fights and sledding. I really wish I would have vidoed the neighbors sledding down the huge hill in our neighborhood. It was hilarious. I can't wait till Penn is big enough to do it.
We enjoyed having daddy home with us for an extra long weekend. We spent the days playing, eating and watching movies.

Rockin' Out

Tonight Daddy's band is playing at The Masquerade in Atlanta so Penn decided to get ready for the show.

Puffs...

enough said. I remember how much Reese LOVED puffs so we gave them a try with Penn and he LOVES them too. He learned really quick how to pick them up and loves to see how many he can get in his mouth at once.
