So, I am now 30 weeks (only 10 left). I can't believe it will be here before we know it. My first shower is this weekend at my sister's house, given by all my best friends. I am really excited to see everyone and celebrate Penn's upcoming arrival.

We are now prepared..
We officially passed our childbirth prep class this past weekend, so I'm assuming now we are supposed to be totally prepared. Actually we are just really anxious now! The class was well worth going to and we really did learn a lot about what type of expectations to have and how to be prepared as best we can.

new addition to our home
I finally found a china cabinet I absolutely love for all of my china and silver. I know I shouldn't be so excited, but I have been looking for about 2 years and finally found something. I absolutely love it in my dining room too. It is perfect! I also now have a closet available to use for other storage. Here's a pic of my new china cabinet.

Also, I never shared a pic of my fabulous diaper bag I got for Christmas. Thanks Papa!! I love it. (It's Storksak, if you are curious)

28 weeks
I am now 28 weeks and whew it's starting to get tiring. I have actually been doing great and Penn is really active now, but working out is getting difficult. I was really feeling every extra lb this morning at bootcamp. I am going to continue to workout as long as it is safe, but I'm just having to accept a much slower pace these days. Thanks to my fabulous photog sista, I have a bump pic at 28 weeks. I will say I feel much bigger than this picture is letting on, so don't be fooled.

good checkup
I went this morning for my checkup at 26 wks and 5 days. My blood pressure is great, hemoglobin great, weight okay and our little man is growing. I will know tomorrow if the results from the glucose test were good. I'm really praying I don't have to go back for the 3hr test. Also, my back pain has resided for now, so that's a relief! Just 13 weeks left and I am praying they are all as smooth as the first 27.

Farewell 2009...
I have to say I am excited to see 2009 go. Although I have had many blessings in 2009, there have also been many trials. With that being said, it's all in the past and I'm not going to dwell. I'm excited for a New Year. David and I decided we needed to get away so we booked a room in Charleston for New Year's Eve. So much fun and a much needed change of scenery. We really enjoyed walking around, eating great food and hanging out together. We actually even stayed up past midnight this year and watched the ball drop on TV.
Here's the view from our hotel on NYE

While we were in downtown, I got the idea for pics in front of the church where we were married 3 yrs ago. Wow, how things have changed for us. David was having fun making me pose like our wedding pics.

I know God has lots in store for this year and I am looking forward to what he brings our way. I know the best gift will be our little man arriving in April. We are just getting so excited to hold him and see what he looks like.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

26 weeks today!!
Wow! time is flying by, but we are really getting a lot accomplished now. My goal is to have the room done by the end of January. Mom and I went out the day after Christmas and spent hours at the best little baby store in Atlanta, New Baby Products. We started my registry there and had such a great time.
This past Monday mom drove to Augusta to help me start painting the nursery. It is adorable, I must say. It is nice and bright to stimulate his little mind. I'll have pics to post as we go. Then when David got home from work we put together his baby bed. The room is now really starting to come together and it feels real. The baby bedding has also been ordered. My mom found a girl that makes custom bedding at this great fabric store in Covington called Fabrics and Furnishings. You can take a peek at Brittany's work on Facebook, just search peeky boo baby bedding.
Here's a sneak peek:
Also, mom helped me register at Buy Buy Baby, another great store (the only one in the state is here in Augusta, but it is a chain owned by Bed, Bath and Beyond). Such a nice feeling to have it all done. Just a few decisions to make on the carseat and stroller and we'll be done. I never knew how hard it would be to pick out the stroller.
We are going for a getaway tomorrow night in Charleston. I'll be sure to post some pics when we get back.
Christmas memories.
We have had such a busy Christmas holiday, but it has truly been a blessing. We spent lots of time with family making wonderful memories. Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were spent with my family. We had so much fun making cookies for Santa, enjoying Reese opening gifts and even Penn got some gifts too. Then Christmas day we spent with David's family at his grandmother's house with the whole gang. We are truly blessed with 2 wonderful families.
