Giving Thanks

I know this is a little after Thanksgiving, but I'm thankful everyday for the blessings in my life (and last week was a little crazy). This year I am giving thanks for so many things, but most importantly giving thanks to Jesus for my salvation, for He is the source of my blessings. God's grace and love has been so abundant this year. In a year that has been a valley, God always shows me that His love is enough. He has provided and continues to provide just when I least expect it. Often I find that I fail to lean fully on God and yet He never ceases to let me fall completely.
I am thankful for family! I couldn't asked to be surrounded by more supportive people than my family.
I am thankful for my husband! Just when I doubt my own strength David is there to guide me. He is my rock and my best friend. I can't wait to see him as a daddy.
I am thankful for my little peanut on the way! We absolutely can't wait to see his little face. We are blessed to be having a great pregnancy with a healthy baby. I look forward each day to the little kicks in my belly, now I'm just waiting for David to be able to feel them. All of our sentences these days start with "Next year this time, we'll have a little boy with us". We can't wait to share all of our excitement with him.
Hope your Thanksgiving was as blessed as mine with lots of fun with family.

1/2 way..

yep, yesterday was 20 weeks. I can't believe how fast it is going by. I am truly feeling so blessed to have this active little baby boy and I am really enjoying all of his movement these days. My "bump" is now official, no hiding it. I am feeling wonderful except for the few ligament pains every couple of days. I always tell everyone that I have had an extremely easy pregnancy so far and I'm praying the last 20 weeks will go just as smoothly. I am still teaching and participating in bootcamp which for me has made all the difference in the world. I can't imagine how I would be feeling without being able to workout, it's such a release for me. David has really been the best I could ever ask for, he gets so excited to hear about the baby moving and I know he can't wait to be a daddy. I love sharing all of this experience with him! On the other hand, everything makes me cry these days, while I'm writing this my eyes are filling up with water. crazy, I'm not really that emotional.
We are starting to work on the baby's room and I am so excited. I picked out the fabrics I am going to use for the crib, thanks to help from my mom, the colors are khaki, green, blue and brown. I'll post pics soon. We spent last Sunday organizing closets and making room mini. Now I am ready to start thinking about what all we are going to need for this little man and I don't even know where to start.
Here are some very unflattering pics of my bump progressing:

Drum Roll Please...

IT'S A BOY!!!
Oh the excitement and joy of those 3 little words, I cannot even explain. I woke up Friday morning feeling like I did when I was 5 years old on Christmas morning waiting to see what Santa brought me. David, Gigi and I jumped in the car straight for the dr's office this morning where Mimi and Bill were anxiously waiting on us to get there. As we all crammed into the little sonogram room we had to apologize for our joy and excitement in finding out. Needless to say we were in the room for quite some time because mini did not want to cooperate. The nurse took all of his measurements (noting that he has long arms and legs) and when he finally moved we all knew!! Before she could get the words out of her mouth I said it's a boy! That's when Gigi lost all control of the video camera. We would have been just as excited with a girl, it's just that moment is so much fun.
Friday afternoon Gigi and I started our shopping mission for this little one. We have no experience with a boy in my family and I had no idea where to start. The colors, the outfits, the bedding it was all throwing me off. I know I am going to get the hang of it real soon, it's just taking a little time.
Oh and Reese's first reaction to finding out her cousin on the way is a boy was, "I not want a boy cousin, I want a durl cousin"...distraught. I think she has come around in the past few days because she has now named him Max. And for those of you dying to know, we don't have a name finalized yet. I'll let you know as soon as we decide.

hard to tell in this pic, but it's a shot of his foot and little toes

3 years ago today..

I married my best friend. It's so hard to believe that it has already been 3 years and that we have a little one on the way. David, I am so blessed to have you as my husband! I treasure all of the time and memories we've had and look forward to the future with you everyday. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Gifts for Mini

Once again I will say how blessed I am to have the best friends and family. As soon as we announced we were expecting I starting receiving some of the cutest gifts for the baby and some wonderful cards and books for David and myself. Just thought I would share some of our gifts with you.

This cute little onesie was given to me from my sister about a year ago, before the mention of getting pregnant. (David would like this to be the babies going home outfit from the hospital)

Here are the sweetest cards and book from my friends. This cute little pumpkin outfit is from Aunt Jordan and Uncle Reyn
and this one is from Aunt Frenchy and Uncle Josh.

I can't wait to pass some of my books along...hint, hint!

17 weeks....

and counting. Yes, I am now 17 weeks and growing by the day. We are so excited to find out the sex of this little mini. I'll go ahead and say most are betting on a boy. My sister called me last night at 10 and said she had looked at the baby gender calendar and it is definitely a boy, it's killing her. Reese has also now changed her mind to a boy and a "yittle gurl", scary! My mom and my friend Bethany are the only ones thinking a girl. I really still don't have a feeling one way or the other, but I can't wait to find out. Here are some belly pics at 17 weeks:
